Revoke.cash: Take Back Control of Your Wallet
Due to the high stakes involved, security is critical in the Web3 world. Revoke.cash empowers users to take back control of their wallets through a user-friendly, open-source platform that lets you inspect, manage, and revoke token approvals across more than 100 blockchain networks. Whether you’re an NFT collector, DeFi power user, or just exploring the blockchain space, Revoke.cash ensures you’re always in charge of your assets.
Token Approvals Matter
Every time you interact with a dApp like Uniswap, OpenSea, or any NFT marketplace, you’re granting token approvals, permissions that allow those platforms to access and move certain tokens or NFTs from your wallet. The catch? These approvals don’t expire.
That means if a platform gets hacked or you accidentally approve a malicious contract, your assets could be at risk. Revoke.cash gives you full visibility into these approvals, allowing you to revoke unnecessary or risky ones in just a few clicks.
Transparent and Community-Powered
Staying true to its roots, Revoke.cash remains 100% open-source, with its code fully available on GitHub. Development is funded by public goods grants, including Optimism RetroPGF, Gitcoin, and ENS, ensuring that Revoke.cash’s core mission always aligns with users' interests instead of corporate investors.
New Features & Expanded Network Support
In 2024, Revoke.cash also expanded its network coverage to support more than 100 blockchains, ranging from the biggest ecosystems to emerging chains.
Newly Supported Networks Include:
Abstract, Ink, Sonic, Soneium, Creator Chain Testnet
January 2025: Smarter Tools for Smarter Wallets
2025 kicked off with several major improvements aimed at smart wallet users:
Batch Revoke for Smart Wallets Users of wallets like Ambire and Abstract Global Wallet can now batch revoke multiple approvals in a single transaction, significantly reducing both friction and gas costs.
Upgraded Risk Engine The risk detection engine was further enhanced with new scam signals and improved accuracy. It now tracks the latest incidents, including the Orange Finance Hack and Moby Trade Hack, helping users stay one step ahead of evolving threats
Built by the Community, for the Community
Throughout 2024, Revoke.cash benefited from the contributions of many talented individuals from the Web3 community, including:
Chidozie David, Sabal Poudel, Andrei Kalpovski, Ryan Waldon, bobeu, Nate Beauregard
This collaborative approach ensures that Revoke.cash evolves in step with the ever-changing Web3 security landscape.
Revoke Cash saving funds on Abstract
The Cardex Compromise on Abstract Global Wallet (AGW) serves as a stark reminder of the importance of continuous approval and session key management in Web3. The incident, which resulted in the loss of approximately $400,000 in ETH across nearly 9,000 wallets, was not due to a flaw in the underlying smart contracts but rather a front-end security failure exposing a session signer key that gave attackers the ability to drain user funds.
What Happened at Cardex
Cardex’s front-end code accidentally exposed the private key of a shared session signer. This session signer was responsible for executing trades (buying, selling, and transferring shares) on behalf of all Cardex users. Once this key was compromised, the attacker could:
-
Identify users with active sessions.
-
Purchase shares on behalf of victims.
-
Transfer those shares to their own address.
-
Sell the stolen shares, draining ETH from victims’ wallets.
The root cause wasn’t smart contract vulnerabilities; the contracts themselves had been audited. Instead, it was a combination of poor key management and overly broad session key permissions, which enabled one compromised key to affect thousands of users.
What’s Coming in 2025
In 2025, Revoke cash is set to introduce several new features to make approval management even simpler and more transparent. A new Approval History will let users see a full record of every approval they’ve granted or revoked, offering better visibility over time. The account dashboards will also be improved, giving clearer insights into approval trends, potential risks, and any vulnerabilities tied to your assets. To help users stay informed, WiiMee, the new content lead, will create weekly videos and educational content to make Web3 security easier to understand for everyone. Finally, Revoke.cash will strengthen its presence at major events like EthCC and Devcon, keeping close ties with the community and staying in tune with the latest needs and challenges in Web3.
Your Wallet, Your Rules
With over $80 million stolen through approval-based exploits in 2024, proactive security isn’t just a best practice — it’s essential. Revoke.cash gives you the tools to manage your permissions, minimize risks, and stay in control across all your blockchain interactions.
